Relaxation concert with Gong "Gong bath"

“The sound and vibrational energy of gongs is an ancient and powerful tool used to help still the mind and allow the body to deeply relax. In this state, we can begin to process and release blocks, and come to deep physical relaxation.” - Steve Carter

The desire to learn about our inner life energies and nature has led people to play the gongs in China, to use Himalayan singing bowls in Nepal, India and Tibet, and to play on various percussion instruments across the globe. Today, sound stimuli produced on rediscovered instruments are used together with modern technology for the sake of restoration of physical and mental balance.

No skills required to participate. Form of treatment/concert. Opportunity to receive healing vibrations and overtones of the Gong and Tibetan Singing Bowls.

Very often during session mind overwhelmed by effect of the overtones surrenders into stillness.

This practice is also sometimes referred to as a “gong bath” because participants are “bathed” in meditation Gong sound waves.

Sound therapy has long been used to manage a broad range of health conditions. The treatments are based on the understanding that all forms of matter – including our body’s cells – vibrate at different frequencies. Factors such as stress, depression and disease cause cells and organs within our bodies to vibrate at optimal frequencies.

Although the goal of “gong experience” is usually therapeutic also it has its own artistic flavor.
